For the first time in Wawa’s history, all 900 Wawa stores across PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, FL and DC united together on July 1st to build a combined total of 45,000 hoagies. All hoagies were donated to local food bank volunteers, first responders, veteran’s organizations and military service members in an effort to show support and appreciation.

As part of these Hoagie Day donations, team USOHRCV made their way to Dam Neck Oceana Annex to hand off 100 hoagies, Tastykake Krimpets and Herrs Chips to service members. With smiles behind their masks, service members grabbed their meal with a deep appreciation for Wawa’s generosity.

Wawa and The Wawa Foundation have a longstanding partnership with the USO that spans almost three decades. In addition to Hoagie Day, Wawa supports the USO through its annual in-store fundraising campaign which has generated $6 million over the past eight years through the generosity of Wawa customers.

This annual campaign is happening now in stores and runs through July 19. Donate your change at the register or purchase a scan card to benefit your local USO. Find your nearest Wawa location and Be the Force!
