Spreading Hope for the Holidays
Help us continue spreading Hope for the Holidays here.
It’s a holly, jolly holiday with the USO! USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia (USOHRCV) launched its Hope for the Holidays campaign, helping military families stay connected to the things they hold most dear this holiday season. Thanks to the generosity of local supporters, USOHRCV has brought Hope for the Holidays in various ways:
Partnered with Fort Eustis Support MWR to distribute holiday goodie bags to over 400 families at their annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Parade
Distributed books, hot chocolate, and other holiday goodies to over 600 families of Fort Lee Family Housing at their Holiday Drive-Thru
Offered hundreds of holiday stockings and bags to deploying service members, and service members spending their holiday at the installation, away from family
Provided holiday gifts with the help of community supporters to 60 military families facing hardship through the Operation Holiday Spirit program
Provided snacks, food, and a place of rest for 6,500 service members traveling home for Block Leave at our USO ORF, USO RIC, and USO PHF Airport centers through the Operation: I’ll be Home for the Holidays program
None of this would be possible without the generosity of local individuals, businesses and organizations. Help us continue spreading Hope for the Holidays here.
