Little Patriots Trunk Hop: An Easter Celebration for Military Families!
On March 21, 2021, USO Hampton Roads and Central Virginia (USOHRCV) kicked off the Easter holiday season with Little Patriots Trunk Hop, a drive-thru event for military families! The event took place at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Virginia Beach, and was the first USOHRCV hosted event for military families since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
To minimize contact, families drove through trunk to trunk to collect Easter goodies in the trunk of their car or with their car windows down and face coverings on.
Goodies included candy, Easter eggs, and free books provided by our friends at the Soho Center, so children can continue to build their home libraries.
Families appreciated the chance to celebrate the Easter holiday in a safe way.
“We had a blast, thanks again for hosting this! Its the first event in over a year we’ve been able to attend due to COVID. We really needed this!”
Of course, the event would not be complete without a visit from the Easter Bunny and friends!
Little Patriots Trunk Hop would not be possible without the help of our amazing sponsors and local community partners that hosted a trunk! Thank you for being a Force Behind the Forces:
