USO HRCV and Heidi Murkoff Celebrate Military Moms at Special Delivery Baby Shower presented by Johnson & Johnson
For the third year, the USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia celebrated military moms across the region, and once again due to the pandemic, the USO Special Delivery baby shower series went virtual. Presented by Johnson & Johnson, on October 19, 2021 long time moms, first-time moms and soon-to-be moms gathered online to play baby shower games, share baby tips and tricks, and get their mommy/baby questions answered by none other than Heidi Murkoff, author of the “What to Expect” book series.
During the Q&A session, Heidi provided helpful tips and resources to moms about baby feeding, introducing an older sibling and/or fur sibling to the new baby, and pregnancy cravings. Prizes of the shower games and drawings ranged from giraffe themed gift bags with a USO onesie, Tiny Traveler ® Baby Gift Sets, and Travel-Ready Graco® essentials, such as a car seat and stroller. Additionally, each attendee will receive a Special Delivery gift bag with a signed “What to Expect” book, with a personalized book dedication, generously donated by Heidi.
No matter where a military family is in service, or in life stages, the USO is Always by Their Side. To stay up to date on more events like these, follow us on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube search the handle @USOHRCV and check out our Events page at hrcv.uso.org/events.
