Happy Halloween from HRCV
No tricks, just treats this year as the USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia partnered up with MWR teams across the region and participated in several Fall Carnival events to celebrate Halloween!
Come as you aren’t was a very big theme at the Fort Eustis Fall Fest. Adults and children alike dressed up from very sweet to very scary, and there was so much for all to experience. From a haunted chinook, a walking trunk-or-treat segment, a tasty chili cookoff, and a very fearsome haunted house, military families did not leave empty handed that night.
Not only did the USCG Base Portsmouth have an Outdoor Movie (popcorn and beverages supplied by USO HRCV) during their Fall Carnival, the ghouls and ghost in attendance engaged with teeny tiny farm animals, an inflatable corn maze, an inflatable axe toss, carnival games and a balloon artist.
The trunk-or-treating element of the evening featured our very own spooky USO mobile unit, as well as a few Coast Guard and USO volunteers with their decorated trunks, and special thanks to Humana Military, the Boy Scouts of America Tidewater Council, ECPI, and GEICO who joined in the festivities too!
