USO Langley AFB Recognized as Volunteer Organization of the Month
Every day, our centers make a tremendous effort to support our local military communities, especially our USO Langley AFB center. On Thursday, January 24, 2019, our USO Langley AFB center was recognized as Volunteer Organization of the Month by Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE).
Col. Sean Tyler presented the certificate to Diane Fry, Center Director of USO Langley AFB and USO Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. The award was presented in recognition of the dedication and commitment as a valued JBLE community organization.
JBLE states that the USO is a shining example of devoted, selfless service and reflects great credit upon the Joint Base Langley-Eustis community- and the proof is in the numbers.
In 2018 alone, 14 USO Langley AFB volunteers dedicated 820.45 hours in support of our local service members. This recognition is well deserved as our volunteers have an unwavering commitment to the USO mission!
