SAIC Donations for Girl Scout's Hometown Heroes
In 2016, SAIC became a proud sponsor and partner of USO Hampton Roads and Central Virginia (USOHRCV). This support has come in the form of traditional sponsorship and volunteer opportunities of events such as the Military Appreciation Day at the Virginia Zoo in November. Other support has included providing technical advice and support to their marketing and branding campaigns.
This year the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast has a program called the Girl Scout’s Hometown Heroes program that provide an opportunity to purchase cookies as a donation. This year’s local charity is the USOHRCV. When you designate your purchase as a donation to this program, The Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will deliver these cookies to the USO who will then distribute the cookies to an active duty military or domestic veteran audience.
SAIC employees within the Hampton Roads area have a means to support this program via the link below. If there are employees who are serving as troop leaders would like to participate in this program, please reply to this email.
This program will provide visible support for our troops and support the opportunities that the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast provide in our area.
